The only thing we're promised in a fight is one we're gonna miss, two we're gonna get hit it's just our job to minimize those things as much as possible.
We always have a plan but the plan always needs to be tweaked in the moment and life is the same thing, you know everything is referred to as a fight no matter what we do in life. In fighting, it's about making adjustments, it's about composure, it's about knowing you're gonna get hit and knowing you're gonna miss. It's about taking that L and bouncing back from it, having it make you stronger.
A lot of things that I learned from Muay Thai continue to push me in life. Fighting is all about adjustments. If we learn how to make adjustments in life the same way we do in fighting, we can learn to be just as composed in life. In the same ways, we should be composing fighting through repetition. We hit failure every time, and that could be discouraging, but if we look at it like yeah we hit failure but we fail closer to success every time, it gives us a little bit more confidence to fail again and to continue to not get discouraged. There's plenty of times where I wanted to quit when I felt like my passion was lost, and now look where I am with the accomplishments that I have, the relationships that I built with certain people. I never would have seen these relationships had I quit a long time ago. So when I look at it like that, it makes me wonder man what's waiting for me later on down the road if I stick with it, if I don't quit. What other relationships can I obtain? What other achievements can I make? And who else can I inspire just by holding on just a little bit longer?
When our deficiencies are surfaced and we have to face them, I feel like that's the true test.
